Wonderful Weekend

It turned out to be a wonderful weekend. The weather was beautiful. Got up to a whole 62 degrees. It feels warmer here. But we got to walk downtown and have dinner and drinks before. The concert was awesome. George is till bad to the bone. Caught his metal tube that you use to slide on the electric guitar. Landed in front of me. Some 20 year old comes up to me and says I am dying of a terminal disease, can I have that. I said hope you feel better and smile. He laughed. So now I have a Willie Nelson pick from the pre game at the superbowl and a metal tube from George. We did go home and get some. B was at Jenny's. Fell asleep and kept waking up and finally got up at 7 to leave for Phoenix.
Picked up the girls and headed to the baseball game. The thing about this stadium is there is hardly any shade. It was in the 80's and felt hotter. At 1 point Sammy and I walked around and got in the shade. JJ said at the end of the 5th, it was a one sided game, we can go. The girls were getting to hot. It was just about going and getting to enjoy the atmosphere. We went and got snacks and checked into the hotel. JJ and I were tired. Ordered pizza and hung out. Its so funny how once you get out of the heat and in the air conditioning, and if the pool is not heated, its to cold to get in it. Got to use the hot tub which was nice. We crashed early, like 8:30. Tired pups.
We got up on Sunday and went bowling. It was so fun. Once we dropped the girls off, went to lowe's and exchanged my faucets and shower head for the vintage bronze. More expensive but right color. You know the right color makes all the difference in the world. Got another ceiling fan. It matches the one I bought to go in the front room. We then went looking for work boots for JJ. His other ones are aweful. He buys these ones from Walmart and w/ in 4 months, a little water gets on them and his feet are wet. The pair he bought are Doc Martins. Yes they make work boots. He loves his doc martins. We then went out for a wonderful late lunch. We ate Italian. It was delisc. We talked about the future and his lease being up Aug 1st and then he will move in w/ me.
Oh funny, while we waiting on the girls we saw the houses for sale around the corner and across the street from them. We just laughed. They look nice. Oh well we will see what happens next year!
Got home and my babies were so excited to see me. Sam is so vocal. He has always been but when I get back he is so excited and he just talks and talks. Its so funny. Makes me laugh.
Today is my day off. My plan is to put away 4 loads of clothes and clean out the fridge. Go work out this afternoon and go by the post office to mail off some things to several friends. Its great because this will be totally unexpected for some. It has been good to give. It makes your heart feel good.
Well off to finish my coffee and watch a little more tv and then get busy on the bedroom. Crazy how laundy can accumulate. Also need to make a call to Davie about the fans. What will be nice is that the ceilings that are tall will have the fans hanging down so it will be easier to get to change out the light bulbs. The one in the this room I am in, cant reach the bulbs. Not even on a ladder that I have. All of the rooms will have brown colored fans and the 2 guess bedrooms will have white. It will look good.
